Description:
Site: Located in northern Douglas County, Nevada, this approximately 150-acre site was designed and developed as a major commercial shopping center.
Challenge: The property’s unique location relative to the county line and abutting U.S. Highway 395, the major north/south corridor for the Western states, posed considerable constraints in the preparation of boundary and aerial control surveys.
Solution: Our team’s expertise in records research combined with field survey data gathering capabilities allowed us to accurately define the boundaries of the highway and establish the necessary control network for the site’s aerial design survey. Following the design and permitting efforts by our client, we worked cooperatively with the project’s contractors to provide construction control stakes for various portions of the community sewer and water system utilities that now support the project.
