Description:
Site: Located on the old Adams Ranch in the foothills of Genoa, Eagle Ridge is a 1,000-acre residential subdivision comprised of 56 three- to five-acre estate lots.
Challenge: This project was particularly challenging due to the site’s steep topography in the Sierra Nevada Range. R.O. Anderson was selected to provide construction control for all site grading, utility and the local streets within this project. The site’s topography and dense vegetation made construction stake-out a physically demanding task.
Solution: Our survey department used top-of-the-line Global Positioning System equipment to locate reference points and establish the construction control network with a high degree of precision. This technologically advanced method allowed our team to obtain field survey data on the steep terrain where standard methodologies would have proven extremely costly and time-consuming.
